The first thing new customers will notice is the people. AST&M’s staff consists of 5 individuals all of which wear multiple hats. For example, generally the first contact a customer has with our company is Brenda Hamilton. Brenda is the Office Manager/Network Administrator and handles accounting. She has worked for AST&M for many years and is thoroughly versed in the inner workings of the company. She is CISCO certified and holds a B.S. in Computer Studies.

Mark Heitzman is the General Manager. Mark has many years of experience in the tooling and molding business. Formerly managing a molding and tooling shop with scheduling and processing responsibilities, as well as the day-to-day operational responsibilities. Mark is a journeyman toolmaker with experience in many difficult to process resins and complex tools using the latest in design software and NC operations.

Brad Struebing is the Operations Manager. Brad has many years experience in manufacturing, mostly in the injection molding field. He holds a B.S. in Industrial Technology from SIU and is certified in Molding Processes by ISU’s Applied Science and Technology. He oversees the company day-to-day operations and consults with the shop floor on new tool start-ups and processing trouble shooting.

Next is Sherrie Kunz. Sherrie is the companies Scheduler and Purchasing agent. She has an accociates degree in Computer Aided Drafting. She has been with AST&M for many years and is also versed with the inner workings of the company. Additionally, she holds many certificates in Computer Aided Design and Drafting.

The final member of our staff is Bob Kuznik. Currently he is the Production Manager overseeing the molding shop. Bob has a diverse background in manufacturing from Design and Development Engineering and Modeling to Tool and Die. He holds several certificates in Computer Aided Drafting and Design.

Lastly but certainly not the least is our shop personnel. We can not say enough about our employees and simply put, this company would not exist if it weren’t for their hard work and dedication.
